Our Mission

To inspire, promote and foster learning, while contributing to the growth of a student’s mind, interests and experiences through commitment, encouragement and student centered teaching.

Music lessons and more in Georgetown

The Royal Academy of Arts & Education was founded in 2003. The Academy is owned and operated by Sabrina Corker and Connie Ward of Georgetown. Sabrina and Connie started teaching music and tutoring in-home. As the demand for their services grew, they decided to open a location in the Georgetown Marketplace, which is currently home to hundreds of families each year. The Academy was created with the philosophy that student-centred teaching, professional and dedicated staff, combined with exceptional customized curriculum is the perfect way to stimulate and motivate students.

A Note to our Families

“Education is not the filling of a bucket, but the lighting of a fire.”

A Note to our Families:

We have a dedicated, professional and motivational staff! With over 100 years of combined experience in music and education, our staff is second to none! Certified Royal Conservatory teachers, along with Certified Ontario teachers, we have staff that gets results! They are committed to giving each student a positive and meaningful experience in each and every lesson.

We are proud to work with so many great families here in Halton Hills! Thank you for believing in our philosophy and for supporting the Academy. We look forward to continuing to inspire and to making a positive difference in the lives of each and every student.

I am an Elementary School Teacher and have four children ranging in age from 6-11 years old, that all attend the Royal Academy of Arts and Education. They take lessons in vocals, violin, guitar, piano, as well as the Art classes. We are an extremely busy family with Rep sports as well and although we have attended other music lessons in town, we have found this Academy to be the most flexible with our very demanding schedules. As long as we give them notice, we are always able to reschedule music classes. This is a huge bonus for us as a family! My husband and I felt we wanted them to get exposure to music, along with their other sports interests and with the Academy they have made this possible for us. Our children all really enjoy their teachers, who are always positive, supportive and make their learning fun. I would highly recommend this Academy to anyone interested in investing in good Arts Education for their children.

Our family has enjoyed a 5 year relationship with the Royal Academy of Arts and Education. We are taking lessons from the music side and have had tutoring from the academic side of the Academy. We have always found the Sabrina and Connie to be dedicated, talented professionals. The staff are qualified and caring individuals who consistently go the extra distance for their students. Because of this positive first musical experience, our children thoroughly enjoy the art form and have added a second instrument to their repetoire, through the Academy.
